Mordialloc Pier on a stormy evening during sunset, the sun is reflecting of large waves on the Melbourne Peninsula Coastline

Mordialloc Pier Storm

Mordialloc Pier, Melbourne

Melbourne is frequently treated to epic sunsets, on this particular evening a strong gale had been battering the coast all day. When I arrived at Mordialloc Pier to shoot I was greeted with tremendously fierce winds, the ocean was battering the pier and waves were actually rising up through the planks. This image shows the last moments of the sunset, the sun was able to briefly pierce through the clouds on what had been just moments before a quite miserable evening. You never know when moments of magic will happen on a shoot. Photo © copyright by Alexander Jones.
