Sunwapta Falls Magic Jasper

Sunwapta Falls, Jasper National Park

What Sunwapta Falls lacks in comparison to the much larger Athabasca Falls in Jasper National Park, it makes up for with shear beauty and magic. The Athabasca River forks around this lone island and pours down into the falls. Sunwapta is actually a Stoney language word meaning "turbulent water."
