This image is one of my personal favourites. I was looking for a place to photograph in Jasper on this very cold February morning (-25°c) in 2019, I passed the level crossing and caught a glance of this CN train idling in the rail yard framed against Roche Bonhomme in the distance. I immediately pulled over and headed onto the tracks, I snapped a collection of photographs while I was kneeling on the tracks at a low angle, I was only there for a few minutes before the train reversed back into the yard and out of frame. My hands were incredibly painful afterwards from the cold exposure but it was certainly worth the pain to get this shot. Photo © copyright by Alexander Jones.
